Surprised!

Today is Saturday and I did not expect to receive any mails. This morning when I woke up, I saw a letter for me, in my mind, only the credit card is the only mail that is still pending to be received. Yea...it is the credit card!

But too bad, due to so much I have spent and the amount I left in my bank account, the credit limit given to me is not ideal. Nevermind, better than having none at all.

Later, maybe a few months, I will try to increase the credit limit.

Bought a jacket

At last I bought a jacket. All the while, I was looking for a weather proof jacket that is why I took so long to buy a jacket. The one I bought today I am not sure whether it is water proof or not, only wind proof, snow proof. It is too cold for me, if I still insist to get one with water proof.

Some good and bad news...

This morning, went to cancel the room change. Everything was done smoothly, I thought the officer will ask me many questions and reasons of why I want to cancel the change. I had planned to say that I do not like the room if they ask me for a reason. So now I kinda have a peace of mind.

As I was not free on Friday, I did not attend the job interview in Total. As a replacement, I went today and the manager wanted to try me. So I worked from 4pm to 7pm. This job is recommended by my friend who is working there. While we walked back after work, she told me the manager does not have a good impression on me. I really did not have high expectation on this job. First, the manager does not like me to tie up my hair. Second, I am that kind of people who seems like having gold in my mouth. This part time job requires me to know every little single thing of the shop including check stock, cashier, etc...what I do not like most is opening my mouth, I lack of confidence and my English is not good. This Wednesday, will be going to work again. The manager wants to observe or give me another chance. Hope he will have a better impression on me.

Assignments are storming my time. When I was free and no job, assignments seems nothing to me. Now, I scared I do not have enough time to complete them.

PayPal Verified

Received verification PIN from PP. Without wasting time, I logged in to verify my PP account.

Next, browsing ebay for a 1GB RAM which I would like to install into my I-Book. Found one, and set an alarm 5 minutes before the ending time.
Was very panic bidding, I still do not understand fully how it works. I have bidded once for my friend, this was my second time bidding. Maybe I will understand how this bidding in ebay works in future.

Heater not working

It was freezing cold in the middle of the night. I was not surprised as the weather is getting colder day after day. When I woke up, I sat down and light up a cigarette. I could not feel the warmth from the heater. I went out and check other heaters and yes they are working. Then I checked the heater's temperature, a smart housemate turned it to 30C. No wonder the heating is not working.

Now, my room's heater is not working again. I guess, I will spend my night at my friend's room.

Headache...Changing Room

Before I came to Uni, I applied to stay together with my friends. They are allocated in the same house. As I did my application later, I was not able to get the same house.

Each house has 7 rooms including one double room. So this girl in the double room has moved out this morning leaving another girl behind. I rushed to the Accommodation Office to apply for a room change.

Now, I am having headache over what I did. Yea, I will get a refund, cause double room is cheaper. Hopefully, an ideal decision will be made by tomorrow morning.

Cranfield

I went to Cranfield yesterday to attend a presentation for the Formula Students. There are 3 groups involved, i just remembered 2 of them, Oxford Brookes and Hertfordshire.
Herts won although they have exceeded the presentation time limit. Their presentation was rather boring compared to others. Powerpoint slides full of text, and presenter keep explaining. From my view, at the back, I saw a lot of audience acting bored.

What made them won? The cart performance or their presentation? In my opinion, it is their cart performance, check out UH's carting history.

Sports Centre

Today my friends and I went to Sports Centre. When I woke up this morning, I received a call from my friend asking me to get ready as they are going to the Sports Centre for swimming. As I felt nothing to do, I agreed and get myself ready. Back in Malaysia I seldom swim but I always accompany my friends to go swimming. I thought the same here and wore a short pants. I was shocked when I saw all my friends wearing jeans because I thought usually we wear short pants and slippers. I shivered all the way to the sports centre, walked.
After that we went for dinner, I was 'weird' to locals here. People kept staring at me, maybe I wear short pants in UK in this season.
Anyhow, I spent the rest of my time in my friend's room until I wrote this.

WHITE MEN!!!

I was sitting in front of my desk suddenly someone threw something on my window, seems like mud to me. I think must be those drunken fuckers...

I have seen some WHITE PEOPLE throwing apples at others' room. These fellows not even drunken, I think their brains are in their ass. I really hope they can read this!

If want to throw come right near the window and flung at me!

I think they came to Uni to insult their parents. These people are worse than stupid people, cause they are brainless and have no balls!!!

Proxy's Proxy

I learnt that I am connecting to the internet via Uni's proxy's proxy. No wonder some stuffs we can't do, listening to Internet radio (some stations).

Before, I was connecting to the net using the proxy script provided. Now, I typed in the proxy's address in the connection settings. I guess now I am connecting to the net via uni's proxy, not uni's proxy's proxy.

Complicated...

Ebay

Recently I registered an account with Ebay. A lot of verifications to do, upon registration, a bank account is needed. I signed up for paypal too.

The verification for paypal is kinda cool. They will deposit 2 small amounts to my bank account. I have to find out how much they deposited to me and key in those figures.

After that, I logged in paypal...to my disappointment, it is still an unverified account. Have to go through this PIN process before I got verified. Not sure how I obtain my PIN...email???

By the way, I still haven't got my PIN from NATWEST. In fact, I planned to go this morning for enquiry...It's too late...already 2pm now...I am lazy!!!

Laundry day

In fact I wanted to do laundry last week but then no time, went to London. I was not in the mood of doing it today. Forced to do it...no more clothes to wear!!!

It was quite disappointing, cause usually a lot students do laundry on sunday. Most of the washing machines will be occupied. Pretty girls running in and out. Boys...have too but I did not really pay attention to them...hehe

This time, after putting in all the clothes into the washing machine and went to my friend's house, nearby the laundry room. It was so enjoying rather than sitting in the laundry room waiting the washing machine to stop and move the clothes over to the dryer.

Quite happy!

As I said, went to London today. Returned the RAM and changed for a wireless mouse and a firewire HDD. My friends keep advising me to get a Powerbook since this I-Book has cost me around £700+.

Actually today was quite hectic, WAGN closed at least for hatfield station. Have to take shuttle bus to finsbury. Anyone know what happened?

Going back was another nightmare, ticket counter closed. On top of that, all the ticket booths do not accept cash and bank/debit cards. Maybe it does not accept card for charges below £10.

London again...

Going to London again tomorrow. Bringing back my I-Book to Regent Street. I am not happy with the PC2100 Ram they upgraded for me. The default speed for the I-Book is PC2700, how can they put a PC2100 for me? I made a call to them but they cannot help me, at last I said I will bring this I-Book back to their shop. At the same time I did e-mail them. They told me the RAM they upgraded is compatible. I knew it is compatible but the performance will be different.

A Visit from Tao Kei

Today Tao Kei came to UH and stayed overnight. He is sleeping now...

As today is Raya, we went to one of my classmates flat to celebrate it. He cooked 'chicken rendang', 'ketupat' and some Thai green curry.

It was quite some time since I last had these delicacies!!!
